I'm sure that your Dad loves you unconditionally. But, if he gave you a gift, and you refused it, who is the one in the wrong? Is it because your Dad doesn't truly love you that you refused the gift? Of course not! But that is what happens to those who end up in hell. God gave them the ultimate gift. If they refuse it, why is it God's fault?

only like two people so far have answered the question. they said "being all-loving doesn't equal being all-saving". everybody else is just rambling,, talking about stuff that wasn't asked of them.
let's look at the answer though that the two people gave.... all-loving is not all-saving??? i'm sorry, but if someone loves their children, then they WILL save them. if they don't save them, then that means one of two things:
1- they can't.
2- they don't love them.
now,, first excuse can't really be applied to god, seeing as how he can do anything. therefore, if he doesn't save his children, and he allows them to go to hell, then he really must not love them.
it's for this reason that i believe there is no all-powerful, all-loving god (along with a lot of other reasons). listen to your father. he has a good point. god doesn't make sense.

So many people, in fact, all of us will not be saved by god, because there is no god. It is a made up idea to control people. Heres a tip, live your life, the way you want to, with no regrets and you have truly lived a good life. Don't waste your life trying to be saved by someone who does not exist.

he does not SAVE unconditionally
although he loves the creation and desires that all men attain to repentance, salvation comes with requirements.
Proof #1, Gen 2:16 And Jehovah God also laid this command upon the man: “From every tree of the garden you may eat to satisfaction. 17 But as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad you must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die.”
Notice the standard for the man to continue living was to obey.
Proof #2, Mt.24:13 But he that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved.
Mt. 7:21 “Not everyone saying to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter into the kingdom of the heavens, but the one doing the will of my Father who is in the heavens will.
Mt 17:” 5 While he was yet speaking, look! a bright cloud overshadowed them, and, look! a voice out of the cloud, saying: “This is my Son, the beloved, whom I have approved; listen to him."

The reason being, because God does NOT love us unconditionally. Never does the Bible even make such a claim, infact, it says that God hated Esau. He loves mankind in general but never claims to love each and every individual, especially if they do not love Him. God CAN love anyone but He does not even recognise us if we do not follow Him.

Love does not equal Salvation. We are loved unconditionally but we still need to make a choice to receive the gift of Salvation.

The premise is flawed, god killed thousands of people in the OT including innocent children.
Check out:
Jeremiah 2:29-30 Wherefore will ye plead with me? ye all have transgressed against me, saith the LORD. In vain have I smitten your children; they received no correction: your own sword hath devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion

Free choice. You can take it or leave it. God, allows you to do this.
Matthew 20:20-28
Believers like to talk about Jesus as Lord, as Master, and especially as Savior, but rarely is He mentioned as “Jesus the Servant.” Yet describing His own mission, Christ said, “The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give His life a ransom for many” (v. 28). He entered the world to offer Himself for the Father’s purpose and mankind’s need.
The Cross was the ultimate sacrifice for others. Every human is born into slavery, a captive of sin. Jesus’ death paid the ransom, purchasing our freedom with His blood. Consider what that means: Jesus voluntarily exchanged His glory for flesh because only as a human could He experience sin—He didn’t break God’s laws, but He allowed His purity to be violated by our transgressions. In fact, God made Jesus “who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf” so that we could gain freedom from our captivity (2 Corinthians 5:21).
Jesus took on Himself every bit of sin — past, present, and future — committed by humanity. Our sinless Savior suddenly and painfully felt the burden of guilt, the weight of a tarnished soul, and a wretched separation from His Father. He suffered the injustice of dying for our sin in order that God’s holiness and our imperfection could be reconciled. Jesus was the Father’s servant, agreeing to an atonement plan that made Him a sacrifice.
Jesus is your servant as well. He humbly endured the punishment you deserved. To receive the benefit of His sacrifice, you need only ask His forgiveness and receive Him into your life. Then you, too, can know the servant, Jesus, as Savior and Lord!

God does not force anyone to do anything against their will. Therefore, if a person does not want to have salvation, so be it. This is called free will. We are free to make decisions, and thus live by the consequences that come from those decisions.

God loves and respects his creation so much that he does not "force" us to accept his gift of Jesus the Christ. He offers and we make the choice.
It is like someone giving you a birthday gift. You have it but as long as you do not open and accept it, you do not possess it. Same with forgiveness and eternal life through Jesus... we are to accept it in order to possess it.

He gave us free will.
Suppose you have a doll and pull it's string and it says, "I love you". Repeat that about 10 times and it gets old real fast.
He doesn't want a heaven full of puppets. He wants a relationship with us. Is there anything better than to have your child run up to you, give you a big hug, and tell you they love you? That's what He wants.
