It is unhealthy and unsafe to lose more than 2 pounds per week.

You can't drop that much weight and be healthy. My mother tried every diet she came across, got pancreatitis and died at the age of 41. You are far healthier to lose by trimming some sweets and refined grains from your diet, eat as much fruits and veggies as you like, and do little things to add to the exercise you do each day, such as parking your car a little further, take the stairs instead of the elevator, go for walks in the cool of the evening. The weight will come off. Also, throw out your bathroom scale and use how your clothes fit to monitor your progress. As muscle tone increases, your weight will not change, or may go up a little. Muscle weighs more than fatty tissues, so as your tone gets better, you may misread the results on the scale.

They were right when they told you it should take around 6 months. Lose weight too fast, and you will have a tonne of loose skin, and are more likely to put it back on again.

Also, i hope the 5 times a "day" was a typo, and you mean't "week". Working out 5 times a day is going to do you no good at all, a healthy balanced diet is the most important thing, so get that sorted.

I think losing 50 lbs in 6 months IS relatively fast. A good, safe weight loss is roughly 1 or 2 lbs a week.

If you lose 50 in 6 months, you're doing a great job--just be careful. Don't starve yourself. Eat very high-quality foods: salads, veggies, plenty of water, whole grains, etc.

Stay away from sugar as much as possible. You should do fine--especially if you're working out (did you mean 5 times a WEEK?)

Good luck.

Well, since you are going to the gym, that will of course, help. Make sure you do exercises that target the area that you want to loose the weight in, but gain muscles as well. :) Also, diet will probably help. Healthy foods to keep you active, so you can do more exercise, like going on jogs and what not. You could try diet pills, etc, but if you are not commited, these will do no good.

Try a cleansing diet! I tried this and lost 10.5 pounds and 17 inches in 9 days. Then I continued it and lost 25 pounds in 5 weeks. This program works to remove the toxins in the body that are stored in the fat cells. You cannot get rid of the fat cells unless you get rid of the toxins. We get toxins from pesticides, preservatives, fast food additives, chemicals, pollution, smoke etc… This was my first experience with cleansing and it worked wonderful! You can order at 1-877-587-4647. It is not a cheap program, but it works and is worth every penny!

Can't happen. 1-2 lbs per week is the healthiest amount to lose. Any more than that, you're in for trouble.

Limit your calorie intake to 1500 per day, eat low carbs, no white rice, white bread or potatoes. And no fried foods!
