That was like watching Michael Jordan when he won on fathers day. Anyone else get a little teary eye?

I thought it was very cool, very genuine. I think even Tiger was surprised he did that. Good for him. He needs to show he is human and less robot.

It was awesome to see such a great man show his emotions in front of such a large audience. It was touching.

I can't imagine how much pressure and scrutiny he's been under lately. Since missing the cut at the U.S. Open, people have been writing him off saying he's not going to be able to focus with his dad passing in May.

I made a post on my blog a few days ago saying that I felt Tiger Woods was going to start playing the best golf of his life. He's going to be even more focused that he has before. Check out my post at http://tgontg.blogspot.com/2006/07/tiger-woods-down-and-out.html and leave your comments.

Thanks,
Don

I made the Jordan/Tiger comparisons in my blog post as well.

I was moved both by Tiger's reaction AND DiMarco's spirited play.

What a tournament!

There are links on both topics below.

Absolutely. It was the same for Chris DeMarco -- he lost his Mom 3 weeks ago.

I was thinking about what if one of my sons ever won the world series, and I was no longer living. After coaching them for 17 years, how would they feel?

Mine did a little. But, when Annika Sorenstam played the Colonial, I had tears rolling down my cheeks......

Oh yeah...what a great tourney !
I was happy for DeMarco, too.
Tiger is just the best !
He doesn't show emotion much-(except at cameras).
You know his dad meant a lot to him.

I am happy for the guy. I am glad to see that he won for his father. I hope he wins many more tournaments.

I didn't cry though.

No, but it felt pretty special. Tiger is the man.

No i wanted DiMarco to win, he deserved to win the Masters last year and it would have been nice for him just after his mum died.
