Ick!! sounds like a big stoopid dumb *** American Redneck name to me!!

Shortened to Clay, sounds like a big old mess of runny mud!!

I do not care for this name. Yes, it's memorable, but not in a good way. No, my dream man would not be named Clayton. It makes me think of a creepy cowboy, hanging out in clubs that he's too old for. "Hey, be careful, Creepy Clayton is here again."

I like Clayton because i mean the kid can have the nickname Clay which is a good nick name so li like the name Clayton

Don't like it. Shopping centre by me called Clayton Sq. It's very much a name used in the black community by me, not that i dislike black people.... just stating a fact.

hey!!!!!!!! yeah i absolutely love that name!!!!!! like my bro and my boyfriend have that name ---which gets kinda confusing--- lol!!!! but i think it is very ideal name and clay for short!!!!!!!!! it has the whole package!!!!!!! a formal {sort of--i couldn't think of another word} name and it has a nickname to!!!!!! i love it!!!!!!!!! and my fave combination is: Clayton Scott _____ {insert last name there} but it has to be a long last name 4 best effect!!!!!!!! lol well i hope u have a good day!!!!!!

my nephew is called clayton i love the name. i thinks its a strong sounding name if u know what i mean.

I think Clay is just fine, I think Clayton is as effected as they come. Don't do that to your kid.
