I want to get a kitten, sometime after Christmas, I want to keep it indoors as a kitten and start to let it outside when it is a cat. When would be the best time to get it so it isn't cold outside when I want to let it out. How fast kittens become young cats?

First month or 2 the kittensneed to be with their mother....after that it will be the perfect time to get your kitten...so you do the maths and congratulations on your new kitten (It's wonderfull that you're that caring already!) ;-)

you can still get a kitten even when it's cold outside, just have a towel with you to wrap it up in and make sure it is able to breathe and bring it home. while it is a kitten it isn't wise to let it outside and it kittens become young cats when it is 1 yrs old.
