He died Friday afternoon and was buried by sunset. He rose from the dead Early Sunday Morning with the breaking of the dawn. That would be less then 48 hours. How many days is 48 hours? Why does the bible also say that the value of pi is 3?

I heard that might be the truth, but I also heard the JFK was shot by aliens that helped NASA fake the moon landing. So I wouldn't trust things I read on the web.

Well, first off, not every Christian believes that Jesus was crucified on a Friday.

I believe He was in the tomb for a full three days, just like He said. What has happened over the years is that those who do not understand the requirements of the Jewish feasts assumed that the "Sabbath" that the religious leaders spoke of, when they asked Pilate to have the criminals' legs broken was a Friday. (John 19:31)

However, in Leviticus, we see that there is a "special" Sabbath that is connected to the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which occurs 7 days after it begins. It is separate and in addition to, a normal Sabbath beginning on a Friday evening. (See Leviticus 23:4ff)

Chuck Missler has a wonderful explanation, which goes into more detail I can relay, so I'll just give you the link.

Oh, and the Bible doesn't say that the value of pi = 3. You've been had by someone. It was originally an April Fool's joke, and it's been soundly thrashed. Go to the following link, and have a look for yourself.

If Jesus was for real, then his bio should be recorded historically. Instead, in the last 1600 years, his life had been recognized as a spiritual figure, it is a believe and Bible, which was written hundreds of years after His death is the only book which keep the myth continue.

In my opinion, the success of the bible lies upon 2 ingredients, combination of Magic and Love. The Magical part keeps the story interesting, just like Harry Potter. While the Love & Care part is what we all seek for , whether you are men, women, elderly, children, criminals or cripples....and is timeless, especially during the wars.

So, it really doesn't matter how Jesus died. If you are spiritual, that means if you believe in soul and understand the importance of LOVE, then you are within Bible's teaching and are the family member of Jesus.

If you are solely for fact researching, then I am afraid there isn't one solid piece of historic evidence will support this topic, at least none so far. And I don't care how many different codes are out there, lol....

...., Why would God want to play codes with human which knowing this would take thousands of years to discover and create un-necessary conflict among his own loving children - human race?

Why do you keep on asking this question?

Was Jesus' resurrection day a Sunday?

The story of Jesus' resurrection is well-known by Christians and by many others. It is commonly believed He died on a Friday (now celebrated as Good Friday) and that He was resurrected the following Sunday (now celebrated as Easter Sunday).

However, there is controversy over whether this timetable fulfills the scriptural prophecy found in Matthew 12:40, when Jesus said: "For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of a huge fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth."

By our modern method of counting days, Jesus would have been in His tomb from late Friday afternoon until early Sunday morning. Even counting Friday and Sunday as full days, that would mean He was interred for three days and two nights at most. This is important because in Matthew 12 Jesus specifies that His resurrection in three days and three nights will be the only sign that He is the Messiah.

Many biblical scholars stand by the Friday and Sunday dates, saying that it was common among Jews at that time to consider any part of a day to be the entire day and night. But others say there may be confusion over whether the "Sabbath" referred to in Scripture as the day after Jesus crucifixion means Saturday or whether it could have been an "annual" Sabbath that happened to occur that same week.

This would make it possible that Jesus was crucified and buried on a Thursday, or even on a Wednesday with His resurrection coming Saturday night - as Jewish tradition considers the next day (Sunday) to begin at sunset on Saturday.

It is interesting there appears to have been no dispute over the timing immediately following Jesus' death. Surely His disciples knew as well as anyone how long He had been in the tomb.

There are really two alternatives, assuming Jesus is the son of God. He either fulfilled the prophecy exactly as written, remaining in the grave for three days and three nights, or He chose not to fulfill the prophecy.

To see why He might have done the latter, consider how Jesus chided Pharisees for their nit-picking support of the laws and covenants of the Old Testament even in the face of outlandish miracles. His challenge to them, and to all of us, was to exercise faith in Him - not in some "proof" He offered up.

How tragic it would be if the old-guard Jews of Jesus' time failed to recognize Him as the Messiah because he was only dead for two days before being resurrected! But even more tragic if He actually was dead for the full three days and nights and they failed to recognize that because they had hardened their hearts to the truth.

3 times 24 is 72. 3 days and 3 nights. Luke 24:46.

I never read about pi in the bible.

It was 72 hours…
And it does not say pi is 3.
It is describing a very large bowl.
There is and inside diameter and an outside diameter the rim of this bowl was a good 5 inches thick.
Reading with wisdom and working it out it become clear that pi is 3.1416

In the age Christ lived, the Jews considered any part of a day a whole day. That is were the three days come in. As for pi, you will have to get the answer from somenone else. I don't know.

Jesus only dies and comes back to life in the cartoon. In the original comic, he deflected Pontius Pilate's Apocalypse Buster attack and never died in the first place.

And the Bible says the value of pi is 3 because christians think decimals are abominations before god, just like the theory of evolution, homosexuality and free thought.

I can't believe people actually wasted their time refuting the Bible based on the belief it had misrepresented pi (~3.1415) as 3. And I also can't believe the amount of effort wasted by other people defending the Bible's "correctitude" on the matter.

Drink a few beers next time and you'll forget all about it.
