i dont get why we have to deal with an ex they are constantly a pain in the *** and i wish they would go back where they came from!!

You don't have to. The only way you HAVE to is if you had a child together, or were foolish enough to date someone you worked with, or signed a loan/credit card together.
Other than that, you have every option in the world of totally avoiding that person.

I believe poeple dont wait long enough before getting back into relationships. As a result some people keep in touch with their ex's for freindship or just for nastalgia sex. You have to be secure in your self enough to handle what ever happens. If you are not then don't engage.
