The Australian way!

Cover a slice of bread on one side with margarine or butter, throw on a cooked sausage diagonally, top with tomato sauce (ketchup) and eat like a hot dog!

The only way to eat sausage!

Ha ha I eat them that way too...I am from Canada we put Ketchup on everything! I will tell you the best way to cook sausage though...My personal recipe!

Chop up about 4-5 red potatos with the skin on, put in the bottom of a deep frying pan, add one diced onion. Cover with 1-2 cups of water mixed with about 3 tbsp of Soya sauce, add garlic salt, pepper, and seasoning salt. Put sausages on top making sure to poke alot of holes, cover and simmer over medium high heat for about 1 hour turning the sausages over once in a while and poking more holes in them after 30 minutes push the sausages below the potatos and cook for the remaining time. Then take a slice of buttered bread, put 2 slices of cheddar cheese on it, then the sausage and finally ketchup and/or mustard and saurkraut. The potatoes are soooo good! being cooked in the sausage flavor makes them awesome!

If you like it, that's all that matters.

Try this sometime. Grill your sausages. Slice some onion rings, cut the rings in half. Melt some butter and a little olive oil in a saucepan, add onions, salt and pepper. Saute until onions are translucent. When sausages are done, place them in a bun large enough to hold them, add some of the sauted onion, mustard and some sauerkraut. You gotta try this. Wash it down with a Foster's. You'll think you're in heaven. Trust me.

Good luck and good eating.

Sausage...like Bratwurst....or Knackwurst...is best consumed with a very good spicy mustard on a fresh french petit pain.
Beer would help.
