Prepositions are always difficult in another language. Some of this you will only learn by reading and practice.

" At " is precise. At 6 o'clock. At the station. We were at the Australian Open Tennis.

"On" is usually like the French "sur". It is the opposite of under. The cat sat on the mat. The book is on the table. "On" is also the opposite of "off" -- turn the light on.

"in" implies "inside" something larger -- in the house, in the room, in the drawer, in London.

use 'at' for places or times.
at home, at work, at school, at noon,

use 'on' for objects
on top of the dresser, on the 4th floor, on drugs

exceptions:
on the computer, the drinks are on me (meaning I'm buying all the drinks), in 45 minutes I'll be there

use 'in' for places and objects (meaning inside or within)
I live in Brazil, There is food in the refridgerator, I'm in the store

exceptions:
I'm in training for the olympics, I'm in a good mood.

I'm assuming that the problem that you are having is not with locations, but with the following:

Use at for times: I'll see you at 5:00AM.
Use on for dates: I'll see you on Thursday.
Use in for the amount of time until the event: I'll see you in a month.

AT: você utiliza com hora. exemplo: I go to school AT EIGHT o´clock every day.
La eçepcion : at the weekend. Exemplo: I visit my aunt Angie AT THE WEEKEND.

ON: você utiliza com dias da semana. Exemplo: ON Saturdays, I clean my house.
Também utiliza como preposiçicao de lugar: The book is on the table

IN: Também utiliza como preposiçicao de lugar ( The eraser is in the pencilcase)
Se utiliza como indicador de tempo: In 1998, I went to Australia

That's the main explanation. Sorry for my basic portuguese
