Good to read the response above and see that someone out there realizes why you should NEVER use water to clean/store your lenses. Also do NOT use anything other than contact lens solution to disinfect them!!!

ok., I've had this happen to me too. Theoretically, a bit of water on your contact lens won't really do anything to your eye except for reddening it a bit. (The veins in your eye could become red and evident). If you have particularly sensitive eyes, you could get an eye infection, in which case, go to your opticians. If there was more in the toilet than just water, then you probably will get an eye infection. Obviously, you should dispose of your dirty contact lense immediately.

if there were enough bacteria in the toilet? (and the right kind of bacteria) well, you could get hepatitis B.
there's a chance you could be OK if you tried to disinfect it, possibly with bleach for several minutes, but then you'd have to rinse it off, and then put it back into your contact cleaner.
always handle your contacts after putting the toilet lid down.

First of all if your contacts fall in the water not matter wheather there was anything in it, you should throw them away, getting tap water on contacts can cause a serious eye infection called acanthomoeba..
YOu should really take better care of your contacts!!

Well, if the toiliet was already flushed, probably nothing. But if there was feces or urine in there, you should probably throw out those contacts and wash your eyes with water for a few minutes,
