Israel is not always in the right.

Western countries have always put pressure on Israel to show restraint and patience in dealing with their hostile neighbors.

israel has had nuclear weapons since the late 1950's and although they have been in open war before, they have never used them.

Israel was able to forge a peace process with Egypt after their war.

So far, Syria has shown no interest in peace with Israel. Damascus wants economic control over the region and Israel is in the way.

Iran is run by a religious dictatorship that although less interested in economic domination (they are already bigger and richer than Israel), hates Israel for religious reasons.

When the old men there die, the young men may work peacefully with israel or they may be greedy and want to act like Syria.

There would be 80% fewer problems if Iran and Syria would acknowledge israel's right to exist. 90% of the problems would be gone if those governments did not sponsor groups that used terrorist tactics.

Of course human nature precludes ever having 100% peace and satisfaction. Some people will always hate no matter how you try to compromise.

Please....tell me about the suicide bombers going on buses and into restaurant and blowing themselves up.....killing children, and those just trying to have lunch or dinner.....or how the terrorists do the same thing in Baghdad......it is sad that some innocents loose their lives...but it is war.....and if they weren't there with the terrorists, they would not have died.....and it is good 500,000 have left their homes.....they will not be hurt....then again, it was not 500,000....research before you yell foul.....you might find that all could be a lot worse.....

Why do you not ask Hezballah?
Or perhaps if Hezballah had military instalation outside of cities, then there would be no bombing target in the city and no or minor civilian casualitys.
Now when you shield yourself with civilians , atacker must decide to go or not to go, it seems that the Israeli accepted that there will be colateral dammage ,and still decided to go after the Hezballah.

So if you think that every Israeli jumps from hapiness when a civilian dies in Lebanon, you are utterly wrong. But right now during war operations ,no soldier can allow himself to think about faces of civilian casualities, they have their objectives.
Psychological problems from it ,will be dealt with after war.

i would like to see every ones view, but with all their views aside why does anyone kill? if the Jews just wanted to kill, they could drop one of their atomic bombs and all peps dead.
