If Jesus is the Messiah, then isn't Christianity really just an extension of Judaism?

No he is not and no Christianity is not similar to Judaism in almost any way.

Yes Jesus is the Messiah! He is the Son of the Most High God. David was His step Father.Judaism can not be compared to Christianity.

Jesus is a direct descendant of King David, as it is prophesied that the Messiah would be. Christ means "anointed"; it is not His last name. Jesus was Jewish. All of the Apostles were Jewish. What it took to be a Christian was the belief that Jesus was "The Anointed One"--The Messiah. He is.

Jesus came as the Messiah to the Jews but they rejected him so it was offered to the gentiles, so in a way it was.

some scholars believe that Jesus was not born in Bethlehem,but on the way.it seems to sound better,when the bible was finally put into one complete book Jesus was gone for like 100 yrs,and they didn't think it sounded to good to put his birth in a cave or something on the way.
