Food:
There are several good companies: pro plan, royal canin and science diet.
I recommend pro plan if they are over four montes, if they are less royal canin baby cat will be great for them then when you will finish that bag get them proplan. pro plan boxes cost between 10 to 30 dollars depends on the size.
It’s not all that expansive, and if you buy the big box it lasts longer and in the yearly over all it will costs you less. On the back of the box it says how much to give.
The ideal weight for a cat is about 12 IBS.
Sand:
I use ever clean it’s a clumping sand there are other companies that may cost less, ever clean costs about 25$ and lasts for about a month a month and half. You can also mix buy one box of ever clean and one big bag of the regular type and mix them. I don’t do it I buy one box of ever clean and I’m happy with it.
Other thing you need:
1) A Sand box and a spoon, to clean the box. Clean everyday add a little bit more sand once a week and change all the sand about once a month
2) Two bowls one big for water and one small for food, Purina has a great feeding bowl it’s really cool ask the salesman in the store I just bought and I love it and so is my cat.
3) Games and a scratching posts as well as a climbing tree. Games you can get at the pet shop as well as make on your own. Search the net you’ll find some great articles. There are also articles that explain how to make a scratching board on your own as well as a climbing tree thing.
4) a carrier to get them to the vet. Either get two small one’s or one really big so that it will have enough space for when they will grow up. You can double use the carrier as a bed for them.
If the cat scratch the sofa you can do two things: one cut his fingernails once every three weeks or put a product called soft paws (www.softpaws.com) it’s a great product though in some cats it’s hard to put on cause they a little more wild then others mine had to be sedated when we put it on her we stopped cause it wasn’t fair to her I just try and clip her nails at least once a month.
Best way to get them used to the cutting is to play with their paws a lot press of the joins so the nails will come out after awhile they will get used to being touched there and pushed they won’t mind when you will cut the fingernails.
Do not dewclaw them!!
They will need to see a vet, get vaccinations and be spayed when they will get bigger, six month’s is a good age to spay them both.
That’s pretty much it.

you should get a pet rat depending
on how your parents and you feel
but if you must get a kitten you
should get a good brand of kitten
food like science diet. provide it with
fresh water at all times so that they
can drink freely. when making this desicion
keep in mind that you should get a kitten thats
around 9 or 10 weeks of age. You should
provide them with about for toys to
stimulate their minds and so they
can be happy little felines. you
need a litter box and dont buy
that unbranded litter because its most of them
dont work. one major thing is you will
need a scratching post unless you want
your furniture torn to shreds! if you
must declawing should be the last
remedy to stop them from scratching
stuff as this is a very painful operation
for them to undergo. you should make
sure that theres a vet or animal clinic
in your area in case your kittens have
an accident and last but not least you
need to provide them with tender loving
care. trust me its very simple to meet
a cats needs and good luck with your
new family member. have a god day.

Well you need to know that they need a litter box, but I am sure you knew that! They need to have a place to sleep, either in a cat bed or in your bed with you.( my cat has both!) I don't necessarily recommend cat nip because it makes them very hyper. If they are very young kittens you need to start off with canned food and as they get older, you need to try and push the hard food. I would say that after 3 or 4 months to have her trying the hard food. At 6 or 7 months to a year old they need to be eating it. Try mixing it in with their canned food and add a little more every week. They need to have toys to play with. And you should play with them too and show them love and affection. Ofcourse. Give them treats to award them for good behavior like using the litter box. Other than that it is easy!!!!!! I hope I helped and have fun with your new Kitties!!!!!!

Get them spayed/neutered before they start to spray. SOMETIMES GIRLS WILL SPRAY, TOO. Boys are ready when they are closer to the size of grapes than raisins. Girls, I don't know. Mine was grown when I got her.
A spray bottle or squirt gun full of water is an easy way to train them to stay off of things they shouldn't be on or to stop them from fighting. Just be sure you stop sprating when they stop behaving badly. They need to associate the spray with the behavior, not you.
Milk causes constipation, but some of them love it any way. I let mine lap it from a teaspoon when I finish my cereal. Now he won't drink it plain. It has to have that cereal taste.
Cats CAN be trained. My will lie down, roll over, get in his carrier, and sometimes sit on command.
The average lifespan of an outside cat (whether it stays outside all the time, or comes and goes from the house) is about 1/3 the life span of a housecat.

You'll need to take them to the vet and maybe Petsmart. Go to petsmart and see if they have a book on proper training, diets, specials needs etc. Good luck!

they need food always readily available, they grow fast and need nutrition at an instant, kitten chow would be the best, not just any catfood, had more nutrients, lots of handling and love, the more you handle them, the sweeter they are good luck
