use a heat protector for your hair. there is something at target from loriel(sp?) called hot straight or something like that....it's in a hot pink bottle. it helps straighten your hair and also protects it from the heat from your blowdryer and straightener, and it's only like $2-3. also use a leave in conditioner. good luck

You can get your hair chemically straightened for about a hundred dollars. It is a lot of money, but it lasts 3-5 months, depending on how fast your hair grows.
If this is not an option, get a ceramic straightener. It does less damage to your hair than the metal ones do. You can also get thermal sprays that will protect your hair from the heat. Also, you can use a straightening serum and a blow dryer, but this won't get your hair as straight.
Whatever option you choose, be sure to use a moisturizer for your hair AND use a shampoo/deep conditioner that will replenish the vitamins in your hair.

Don't try to straighten your hair any more. If it is extremely dried out, the ends will start to split and eventually, if you keep on using heated straighteners you may lose all your hair. Believe me, I've seen this happen many times before. Instead, try using products that nourish your hair. You should use a hair pack twice a week. Sometimes, using a strong conditioner on your hair and then blow-drying it straight using a roller-brush can be enough.

if you're scared your hair might dry out even more, try using a DEEP CONDITIONER. Use CHI straighteners. They work very well and don't leave hair dry..don't forget to use a thermal spray that you spray on beforeyou straighten hair. It protects your hair from heat damage.

Deep condition with Pantene or use a hot oil treatment every week to get hair back to normal.
You could also go with a natural soft hair coloring to bring back some life. Good luck with your efforts. =)
