You're better off letting your cats clean themselves unless they are climbing around under cars, or getting anything toxic matted in their fur. When you wash an animal too much you strip the natural oils off it's skin (same with people) and it gets dandruff and sheds more heavily, causing more hairballs. vetinfo.com recommends that if your cat has any unusual skin problems (oiliness, dandruff) WITHOUT bathing than before you begin bathing your cat you should see a vet about potential internal problems that could be the culprit.
So unless you breed or show cats, or you've got some trouble makers, I would say don't go too crazy with the bathing. If you fit in either of the above categories or you just really like needless cleaning, perhaps you should consider the neat gadget I found for you (see the last link)!

Are you serious? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!!
It is best to keep them someplace warm and let them air dry. Cats lose heat fairly quickly, so let them dry off in a warm, sunny spot.
Bathing cats once a month is way too frequent unless they roll around in mud all the time. Cats keep themselves meticulous, so you really shouldn't need to bathe them at all. If you must, try using pre-moistened kitty wipes. Less stress for you and the kitties!

stick to towel drying. no no to moving air. most cats are frightened by moving air like blow dryers.(it's because of how they meow)
when i bathe my cats i make sure that they do not have access to the coldest parts of the house. i also try to do it noon-ish so that they can sit in the sun and dry off.

You don't need to bathe your cats, unless they are also outdoor kitties and come in REALLY dirty. They keep themselves naturally clean.
