David,
I don't know whether you are actually Jewish or not, but I do know that you are a Christian. I also know that you post the same "question" -- which is comprised of standard christian "proof-texts" -- repeatedly.

If your question was sincere I would have no problem, but it is clear from your posting patterns that your questions are merely a cheap decoy to missionize and spread the idea to Jews to convert to christianity (which is, by defintion, anyone who believes jesus was the messiah).

I object to your deceptive methods of missionizing. I feel it insults the teachings of G-d, whether one is Jewish or Christian. (For example, II Corinthians 4:2, I Peter 2:1, Psalm 34:14 speak about honesty and not using deceitful ways.)

If you're going to missionize, at least be honest about it.

On the side: For those who are actually interested in a Jewish perspective on the so-called "proof-texts", I recommend visting www.JewsForJudaism.org

No offense has been intended.

Suzanne,
While I do not appreciate your doubting my sincerity and your seeming desire that I be destroyed, I will address your "points" briefly:
My qualm is not that david has converted to christianity (if he was jewish to begin with); my problem is his deceptive missionizing. It should offend any honest person.

(Jer. 3. - what are you talking about? Look at verse 12, or at jeremiah 31:34-36
Jer 31 - look at verse 33. Do you see universal knowledge of G-d? I don't.)

suzanne, it appears to me that you have ignored my points and simply reiterated your own. I understood them the first time (I've heard them all before); did you understand mine? Either way, I don't want to debate on this thread. If you're interested, I suggest you check out jewsforJUDAISM.org too, to understand what I'm saying.

Note: I also have strong suspicions that "david" is on drugs (as he's pretty much said as much). David -- get help. really.

I couldn't express my mind better!
I totally agree with you and gratvol, the guy is a walking propaganda.
Being Jewish I take it personaly, but I think that everyone should see how wrong it is to missionize people that cynically in a place where you should ask questions.

I know...but, all we have to let the Lord do whatever He wants with David. And I'm sure David will come around...he is a Christian, but we can only pray for him. Not try to take things in our own hands...whatever God wills will happen, not the other way around.

You say you don't mean to offend anyone, but we both know that's not the truth, don't we? As a Jew, you are offended that David has "defected" to Messianic Judaism; you don't wish to read his message, so you wanted to reprimand him. Correct?

God tells you in your Holy Scriptures that he divorced the Jewish people due to spiritual unfaithfulness (Jeremiah 3); He then tells you in Jer. 31:31 that He would send you a New Covenant. Now, be honest: do you REALLY believe that the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob would abandon His chosen people for 2500 years without a Covenant?????? Never! The New Covenant was brought to humanity through Yeshua; as such, David is part of God's remnant. Those who do not recognize Yeshua as their Messiah will be destroyed, just as the Jews who wandered through the desert and just as all but 7,000 were destroyed after Elijah ran into the cave. God also promised you He'd send His light to the gentiles and make the Jewish people jealous. I think you're intelligent enough to know where I'm going with all this.

If David's message offends you, then don't click on any of his questions. IT'S THAT SIMPLE.

Someday, I wish you find the peace that surpasses all understanding.

Edit in response to your comments:

Jeremiah 3 is what it is: God divorced all Israel due to her repeated adultry. Verse eight rather bluntly confirms this (God is speaking): "Then I saw that for all the causes for which backsliding Israel had committed adultery, I HAD PUT HER AWAY AND GIVEN HER A CERTIFICATE OF DIVORCE; yet her treacherous sister Judah did not fear, but went and played the harlot also." Read the Book of Hosea to understand what God says about Judah's harlotry.

Jeremiah 31:31 also is what it is. I'll quote vs. 31-34 to give you the whole picture:

31 “Behold, the days are coming, says the LORD, when I WILL MAKE A NEW COVENANT with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— 32 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt, My covenant which they broke, though I was a husband to them, says the LORD. 33 But this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the LORD: I will put My law in their minds, and write it on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 34 No more shall every man teach his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, ‘Know the LORD,’ for they all shall know Me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, says the LORD. For I will forgive their iniquity, and their sin I will remember no more.”

Messianic Jews (and Christians) believe Yeshua, who was God in the flesh, brought the promised New Covenant. And I DO NOT desire that you be destroyed. However, God's nature doesn't change. He has vowed that He will again save a remnant. New Testament Scriptures explain that, during the upcoming "Tribulation," many, many Jews will be saved; in fact, this will be the principal time in history when they will accept Yeshua as Messiah. However, this will be a time of unspeakable horror, for Jews AND gentiles. Billions of people will be killed; some will go to everlasting life, such as God' remnant; others, Jew and gentile, will go to everlasting destruction. The question is, in which group will you be? God does not wish that any would put themselves into this last category, but He will not beg a person to accept the Messiah.

I have tried to email him several times he continues to Ignore me.

it seems he is only spreading propaganda and is not willing to engage in a civil debate.

Shame I thought that most Jews were open minded and willing too discuss their views and not just repeat the same message over and over again.

I really wish he would discuss it with me.
