If you mean Canadian KC, contact the AKC or check on their website. I have done that but it has been several years.

If you mean continental KC, then you don't. They are mostly used for dogs that do not qualify for AKC registration. ConKC will pretty much register anything.

AKC does not recognize Continental Kennel Club dogs. If they aren't champion bred (inbred, there are only so many champion dogs of each breed) AKC says they are worthless.
