In the state of Michigan if you get pregnant and dont have any money the list goes on and on with the charities our taxes pay for. Health insurance that covers everything without a dime to pay 4 a copayment. Food stamps to pay for all the food. Wic to pay 4 all the formula. Section 8 will pay your rent. Hud will buy you a brand new home. The state will pay 4 a new car. They will also pay $1200 to fix a car. They will pay 4 your gas. They will buy you clothes. They will give you carseats. The list goes on and on and on. How will they get people and teens especially 2 stop having kids if you live better once you have them. I work my butt off 40+ hours a week and my husband goes to college full time so we can have a good life. The girl I work with has 2 kids at 18 walks around on a cell phone all day. In the city I live in we have more teen pregnany then any other city in MI and people wonder why! Michigan has one of the highest unemployment rates. Why not make it just a little tougher?

I do think that the rules should be a bit tougher and should allow for these teens to get educated which could lead them to be productive citizens. But, if she's working she's paying the same taxes you pay!? It may not be completely her fault so don't blast her. You could be in the same situation... You can't just think that what she's going thru is completely easy for her. There are alot of deadbeat fathers who are not paying child support, families who don't have health insurance, can't afford to feed there families and can't afford to pay the high costs of living... the mold is not the same for everyone.

Because Granholm is a socialist/communist. She believes everybody should have everything without working for it or deserving it. The people that really work hard to make their lives better only get deeper into ****.

Hopefully you'll vote for Dick DeVos an help get us out of this crazy mess that's quickly turning the most beautiful state into a shithole.

I would agree that it should be tougher. People should work for what they earn, not have it handed to them. I'm going to be a bit arrogant enough to say because it is a blue state favored mostly by Democratic platform - have it given to you, don't work for it yourself.

I'm not opposed to having the options of help out there. Sometimes people need it to help prevent a permanent decline in life. But it never should be long term.
