It depends what the person thinks based on his/her religion. Certainly, everybody thinks his/her religion is the best and noblest of all. I'm a Christian, i certainly think Christianity has all the answers given to your question. Historically, the world's oldest religion is Judaism, then came Christianity, then to Islam. Ever heard of the book Israel: One Land, Three Faiths? That's a good purchase. Seek God and He will open the door for you. Good luck!

None. Here's why:
According to David Barrett, author of "The World Christian Encyclopedia", there are:
- Over 10,000 religions practiced on Earth
- 150 of them have at LEAST 1,000,000 followers
- Christianity itself, one of the 10,000 religions, has 33,830 denominations.
What does that tell you? Each religion is an INTERPRETATION, a "version" of a story.
You have to ask yourself, if each religion is a version of a story, which one is "right"? Who is the author? Now, you could say "God", but who invented "God"? The notion of "God" was created by MAN.
"Knowledge" is a function of experience. To "KNOW" something is to have a direct experience with it. For example - you could eat a mango, and then tell people about your experience with it. You would be speaking with knowledge about your experience. OR... you could "Believe" that you know what a mango tastes like... you could listen to other people describe their "belief" about a mango...you could spend time with other people hearing their stories about mangoes. AND... you STILL would NOT have an EXPERIENCE of YOUR OWN with a mango. You would simply be "parroting" back what you've heard from others. That's what religion is: simply "parroting" to others what you "believe". It "feels" good because you've got lots of other people around you saying the same thing. If you keep saying the same thing over and over, eventually you'll believe it. It doesn't matter what you say....it "becomes" true for you. That doesn't mean it really IS true. It just "feels" true to you. If you put a representative of each religious denomination in a stadium, and asked for a show of hands of those who "believed" their religion was "THE" religion...EVERY hand would go up. They're "believers", not "seekers".
Belief is not experience. It's merely an unwillingness to explore, ask questions and "taste" reality for yourself.
As to what is "good", well, that, like religion, is a completely subjective thing. Who IS to say what is "good" or "bad"?
My invitation to you: go live. Explore. Ask questions. Experience. Meditate. Learn to find the "godliness" within yourself.
I wish you Peace.

the hindu religion is pretty old, with origins which date back well into prehistory, maybe even 10 000 years. maybe older.
but don't forget the jainists. they've been around for a pretty long time too.
and so have the zoroastrians. they invented the idea of apocalypse. the jews borrowed it from them, who in turn gave the idea to christianity. i've always thought that was pretty neat.
of the world religions in practice today islam is the youngest, and the next youngest is chritianity.

Oldest ones are Vedas , and diferent politheistic systems from before 2500 BC, then about 2000 bc you have beginings of jewish religion, 1500 bc you have Zarathushtra with his religion, then about 500 bc you have taosim, pinto, budism, jainism,
from 30 AD you have christianity, fom 500 and some you have islam, from 1500 AD you have sikh, thena some 200 years after you have bahaism.
Each of them has their own religius view of the universe and God.
Do not look in them scientific knowledge because they do not have it in them.
Al monotheistic religions have a deep roots in Abraham and the nabis of the old testament. ,and so they have some similarities in their cosmogonies.

I do not have a reference for you, but from all the reading I have done I would say the Jewish religion...it goes way back as far as Abraham in the book of Genesis in the Bible...
However, I am not going to say those who answer Hindu are wrong...They may be very right...Just don't know about that, but based on the Bible, do think the Jewish religion...

Original eternal religion of deities (divine humans). Hinduism was derived from this. It has logical explanations about God, universe, world cycle, etc.
