If you loved her, then you would wait until she was no longer your teacher to romance her, since it could cost her her job if she reciprocated.

It is unethical for your teacher to romance with you regardless of age. It is in the teaching code of ethics. If she is your age you might want to wait until you are no longer a student to romance her so she does not get in trouble or worse fired from her job.

I hate to tell you this, but most colleges (I assume you're in college and not, say, high school) have bylaws against this. Assuming your teacher returns your affection, you'll have to wait until after you graduate to get serious. My stepmom met my dad as a student in his computer class and I found out later that if his boss had known they were dating, he could have been fired.
As for how to start a relationship with her, you have an advantage over most guys. You already know what she's interested in. Find something about her subject that interests you and ask her about it. You can at least get to be friends that way so you can ask her out after you graduate.

Just talk to her after class. Or even jokingly add a love note n turn it in with ur papers. Take things slow n subtle..this is a teacher we're talking about. Be friend first, talk with her, acquaint with her. After a while, bring up the subject of maybe going out for lunch.
start slow n subtle. Friendly student/teacher relationship..........acquaintances........low leveled friend.........more friendlier friend..from here u can work it out since uve become friends.
To ask a girl out, u gotta be friends with her right? so with ur teacher, ur just student/teacher. u cant just jump the gun like that. u gotta fix the relationship ratio. from student/teacher to friendly-student/teacher friends/friends
Trust me, i've been writing articles on relationships for an unknown magazine in the tri-state heheh.. start slow, always remember, u gotta be level with her. she cant be above you, and u cant be above her, its gotta be even.

Wait until you're done with her class, then ask her out for coffee. Don't romance her while she's still your teacher. She could get fired for that, and it puts her in an awkward situation for grading (obviously).

In most schools, teachers are not allowed to date students. There are ways around that however if your teacher is interested.

romancing with a teacher is very easy...even if she is not of ur age...even if it is ban to have a date with a teacher in the college/university...
buy a book of the subject teacher is teaching... and ask her to teach u in the cafe or in some her personal room.. take the book with u.. open it in front of u.. and start talking about ur feelings for her while pretending that u r reading the book..
in this way the teacher will come to know about ur feelings, u `ll express wht u had to say.. and no one will know whether u went to learn something or to express ur luv for her...
best of luck mayn.. and i am happy u fell in luv with a TEACHER..hehehe...:)... i had this experience too but that teacher was like 5 yrs elder than me.. :)...so i didnt consider myself expressing my feelings for her..

isn't 'hot engineer' an oxymoron? just kidding---speak with her in a manner which will give you some indication whether the attraction is mutual. but , don't forget, that usually a teacher dating a student put's her job at risk, among other possible problems.

Many schools have policy fobidding relationships between teacher and student. I suggest you stay connected with the lady and attempt a relationship when finished with her class.
