I've heard this from people I really respect so I'm curious as to why this is true. Please ladies explain this to me..... why?

Nice guys try too hard.
They try to be the "best friend" or "therapist" to a woman and think they'll be able to hook up with a woman after they show how much of a nice guy they are.
They try to be too sensitive to a woman/girl's every need. In turn, nice guys ignore their needs at a woman's expense. Nice guys can come off as wishy washy.
I used to suffer from TNGS (Terminal Nice Guy Syndrome.) I'm a recovering nice guy.
Don't get me wrong, they want a guy who's nice, respectful, and loving, but they don't want a guy who's just a door mat.
Think about movies that women like, and what kind of guys they're attracted to in movies. What kind of roles do those guys usually play?
The outsider bad boy with the good heart.
Women want a guy with a good heart, but they also want a guy who'll make them feel excited, attractive, and sexy.
So, stop being a nice guy. Become a gentleman. Gentle, polite, respectful, but a man. You take care of your needs, and a woman is a bonus in your life. If you have self control, and self confidence, that really attracts women like flies. (Don't be arrogant, just confident.)
Let me give you a couple examples of what women are looking for. Indiana Jones or Han Solo. (OK, it's an old school analogy) Consider their personality types. Is Han or Indy a wimp with the ladies? No. He's cool, confident, self assured, and women are an added bonus to their lives.
Be friendly, be flirty, be respectful. Don't be a doormat.

nice guys only finish last to women that are complete and total jerks. every woman, in the end, wants a nice guy. not an asshole who wont do anything for them. so if you're finishing last now- you WONT be in the future. give it time. every woman wants what and who is best for them. if a girl doesnt want a nice guy (aka you), then shes missing out, and you're avoiding unceccesay heartache.
why girls like badboys? because everyone wants what they cant have. why settle for the nice guy looking for something serious whenn they can chase the bad boy who isnt looking for anything to last?

their willing to put a womans pleasure before their own. you should be completely and totally into her, what she wants and how she wants it.
