Among other reasons, you have to keep the jewishness of the bible. Christ went to heaven so He could prepare the bride. In jewish tradition the father prepared the wedding selected the bride and prepared her, and when all was complete he would send his son to get the bride. Not only this but Christ went to heaven to be our mediator between us and God 1Ti 2:5 For [there is] one God, and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus;. Also for 1Jo 2:1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that you sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous:
An advocate is this: one who pleads another's cause before a judge, a pleader, counsel for defense, legal assistant, an advocate
An mediator is this:1) one who intervenes between two, either in order to make or restore peace and friendship, or form a compact, or for ratifying a covenant

2) a medium of communication, arbitrator

Good question!.....Jesus passed the ministry works down to His Followers...why? because He ascended to the (Heavenly Father), because His Mission was Completed On this Earth!..........(John 14: 12)........get into a good, Anointed Church where there are good Anointed (Bible) Studies and you will understand the Plan Of GOD, The Ministry of JESUS, and much, much, more!....after all, that's why GOD Called, Appointed, & Anointed Ministries (Eph. 4: 11-15)......

He told His disciples He would leave and the Holy Spirit (who is omnipresent, unlike Jesus) could be with them and empower them to share the gospel. Christ's mission was to pay the penalty for our sin and show us why we are separated from God. God's ability to "do good" is much greater when he's NOT constrained by a human body. His mission was accomplished, and those who repent (admit and turn from their sin) and trust in Him will be saved from Hell.
