When I am in a silent room I can hear a slight cracking noise in my neck when I turn my head from side to side (cracking is not a good word but I don't know how else to describe it). The noise sound like it is coming from the region where my neck connects to my skull. It is a quiet noise. I have never noticed any pain in my neck but I am worried that this could develope into a problem. I also hear the noise when I move my shoulders sometimes.

I have allways stood/walked/run with poor posture - could this be the cause?

If this is a problem could a chiropractor fix this?

could just be excessive fluid in the joints, i would not try to make this crackin noise on purpose cause you could get stuck and be in worse shape, chiropractors can help but they can also make it worse, i recommend a specialist for this problem

Poor posture could definately be a cause, so check with a chiropractor and see what he can do. They're not cheap. Better maybe to work on your posture then, eh?

Sounds like cartilege. A chiropracter could help with the problem, but ultimately you're just going to have to live with it. It's not serious.
