Putting all your ingredients of your salad in a large bowl, such as your cut up lettuce, tomatoes, onions, carrots , cucumbers what ever you like and take two spoons or forks and lightly go into the bowl with both spoons into the salad and mix the salad by lifting up and repeating until the ingredients are mixed together and sometimes adding your dressing then to coat everything evenly. Just do it a few times and your salad should be tossed together pretty good. SORRY I DIDN'T SEE THE DATEING PART OF THIS QUESTION.
