And He said unto them, "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
"He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
" Mark 16:15-18

I'd say no, because I believe every little child believes in santa claus and parents really don't hinder the fact that there really is no santa claus. Santa really doesn't have any religious significance(unless your jewish) Belief in God is another story. That's all how you grew up or your own personal religious beliefs. To me, there is no santa claus but there is a God. To someone else, there probably is no santa claus or no God. It's all personal preference.

Have you ever seen any fat jolly guys dressed up as God, only to have their fake beards yanked off by a wise guy kid?
No?
That because Santa Claus is a fun game for Christmas time -- that's it -- nothing more than a pleasant game, that only kids are expected to believe in.
God, on the other hand, is serious stuff. No game.

Believing in things which make you a person and feels right, is the most healthy things to do. Believing in God -- provides you guidance in life, believing in Santa Claus -- makes children and your childhood seems pretty happy. As long as they don't hurt anyone. There is just one difference -- how do you view the things you believe in? If you find no truth and it bothers you, quit believing, it gives you more confusion and wastes time.

Why YES IT IS!! Because on Christmas, the day Jesus was born, God gave us the greatest gift in the world. So God and Santa Claus are in effect one in the same. Only Santa and his presents are only a representation of the life giving gift of salvation God gave to us when he sent his son Jesus Christ to die for our sins on what a coincidence.....THE SAME DAY SANTA COMES TO GIVE US HIS PRESENTS LOL! So Rejoice in the Lord and in Santa too!!!

Believing implies doubt.....
God is God no matter what anyone chooses to believe or not.
The question is more about HOW your beliefs effect YOUR experience of being human here? or not?
Believing in Santa would have a different effect on your experience of free will, than believing in God would.... the definitions are not the same.
Religion is humanity trying to explain God, define LOVE, TRUTH, JOY.
There are as many paths to GOD as there are individuals.... God being UNCONDITIONAL LOVE.
Just because you may not remember God, doesn't mean that God has forgotten you.
Tangible is temporary.... your body is WHAT you are IN, not WHO you are.

Not even close! For one thing, God has "written" the fact of His existence into nature. Just look around you: the variety of life, the order of the seasons, the vastness of the universe. . .and there is a frightening and beautiful order to it all that screams out, "Someone created all this!"
Someone once said that there is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of every person that can only be filled by Him. He did this so people would turn to Him and trust Him with their lives. You can reject God, but you can't ignore Him.
As for good ol' St. Nick, he's a lot of fun, but I sure wouldn't want to put my eternal destiny in the hands of a guy in a red suit with flying reindeer.

Sort of, except that Santa Claus doesn't require continual praise and doesn't seek vengence on people he doesn't like.
