Very normal. I had the same thing happen to me at the Dairy Queen in St. Johns MN

Fast food chains often have different foods in different regions. I can definitely get a corn dog at a Dairy Queen here in Texas. For example, McDonald's serves a lobster sandwich in Maine, but I bet it would be hard to find it anywhere else.

I live in NJ and have certainly heard of corn dogs! That is NOT normal.
