I believe you can support the troops without supporting the war
In fact, I think 99.9999999 percent of the American public supports the troops, we support them, we don't want harm to come to them. I can't see anyone not supporting the troops.
less of us support the war itself.

I'm neither conservative nor a bleeding-heart liberal. I'm very objective and thoughtful.
That said, I think President Bush and a lot of the conservatives have blinded themselves in their own fog. I support our troops, but I think we've spent enough time over there banging our head against the wall. Civil war over there is inevitable, so we may as well leave and let them have it.
The problem with Bush and the conservatives is, if you come out and say "I support the troops" they misinterpret what you've said. They say "see, the American people support the war in Iraq". Supporting our troops is all I said. I support our troops, not a failed policy.

Support our troops has become a clevelr marketing campaign that strongly correlates with supporting the War in IRaq. Since American troops are in Iraq,, we need to support not only them, but the reasons they are there, otherwise we are not really supporting our troops at all. Also, those who are een to not support the military are viewd as unamerican. Ironically, in historical contexts it was considered American to question the military and the president.

It may be that the troops would prefer that you support them by ending the war and having them come home. Of course the blue eyed shieks from Texas like things just the way they are and so perhaps they are the troops being mentioned by the White House.

There are thousands of us that whole heartedly support our troops that do not want this war at all----what others believe or choose for themselves --I can't say---but I strongly feel that we have the absolute finest men and women on earth in our military--(even in light of some of the recent lunacy)---what giles me to the max is the way in which the high command runs these guys thru the same logistics month in and month out with the same dirt poor responses and just continues to put them in harms way in the same manner with no changes to adapt the way in which these guys can operate---that again is strong flashes of Viet Nam
