a couple days ago for my birthday i got a straightener from Hot Tools Professionals. It's the brand that the hair salons use. And it works GREAT!! There are different heat settings and my hair has never been straighter, and I have wavy hair. go to this page to look at one! I had a CONAIR before and it was terrible, and didn't do anything. Trust me, this works GREAT!!!! Good luck finding a better straightener other than Conair! Also I looked at the CHI straighteners on Ebay, and they cost around $80 while this one costs about $20. It's also sold in only beauty salons and beauty stores. not target or walmart.
this is what's great about this straightener!!

I'm the same way... if my hair's not really curly, or the curls don't look great that day, I'm straightening my hair. My old hair straightener was made by Conair and I didn't care for it too much. Now, I have the Remington Wet 2 Straight, and I like it a lot better. You can get it at Wal*Mart for probably $30. But they come out with new straighteners all the time, so everytime I get one, a couple weeks later I find a new one I like better. You could get one made by Chi (I think that's the name.) They're really expensive though, hundred of dollars. But I'm sure they work great.

For naturally curly WHITE or mixed hair...DO NOT USE A CHEMICAL RELAXER!!! EVER!!

If you're using a Flat Iron, try using a anti-frizz serum with Cyclopentasiloxane & Dimethiconol as it's main ingredients, along with it. It will help add shine and actually makes your flat iron more effective...it also helps fight off humidity too!!!

There are plenty of brands out there. John Freida's Frizzease, Fx Straight & Shiny or CitriShine's Shine Serum...but you have to look at the ingredients.

CHI Hair straighteners are absolutely amazing. They work wonders-- even in humid weather. However, they cost over a hundred bucks. I personally just use my curling iron to straighten my hair out. My $10 curling iron gets so much hotter and does a better job than any straightening iron I've ever had.

Good luck! It sounds like you have the same kind of hair that I do... Isn't it a b*tch to deal with?!

Can oftentimes purchase them in some hairdressers. desire this helps

I have the same type of hair and I straighten my hair like almost everyday. I use the Chi Turbo. It was kinda expensive but it works great!!!! Plus, your hair will look naturally straight. My sister has similar hair also and she uses the Remington Wet to Straight, it works well on her and almost as good as my Chi. Good Luck!!!!!=)
