There was a study in which feeding kimchi to infected birds appeared to help them recover from bird flu. This has led to speculation that kimchi may be a preventative for bird flu.

Charred red meat does contain carcinogens associated with the development of pancreatic cancer. Regular consumption may increase your risk of developing this cancer.

i don't know about the kimchi. possibly. and charred meat does cause cancer because basically u're EATING carbon monoxide (i think that's what it is) which causes cancer when u breathe it. don't eat it.

Nope on both accounts. It's a myth on the first one and the second one has only been backed up by one very poor study.
