While Floyd is the more gifted fighter, Oscar is one of the smartest boxers of all time. I think Oscar would win by decision. Oscar would sit back and when Floyd gets close, Oscar would let his hands go. Most of his punches will get blocked by Floyd but some will get thru.
That's how you beat Floyd. Don't jab him because he'll make you pay with his fast hands. Wait till he's in range and let your hands go. With Oscar swinging, Floyd will be forced to back up. Once on the ropes, lean on him and whack the body. Oscar fought most of the 2nd Mosley fight this way. I also thought Oscar won that rematch.
The only way to beat Floyd is to keep busy. Not waiting for him to get off and trying to counter him.

De La Hoya said he is not fighing this year and will think about something next year. Mayweather has no interest in fighting anyone really good, like Magorito, but he would probably beat De La Hoya. He just has too much speed.

Are you kidding? De La Hoya is faster? Ever see him fight Shane Mosely? De La Hoya is not slow by any means, but not close to Mayweather. And De La Hoya would have to catch him to make his size be an issue. I say "Pretty Boy" takes out the "Golden Boy" by unanimous decision.

Unanimous decision, Mayweather fairly easily. De La Hoya will have his moments, but nothing special. De La Hoya is not slow, but Mayweather would make him look like a dinosaur.

Sorry, but I have to disagree. Maywether is experienced, lightening fast and De La Hoya is getting older and towards the end of his career. I don't think the "Golden Boy" has a chance agains the "Pretty Boy."

Would be a great fight De La Hoya's great ring experience and savvy against Mayweather's speed. You can never tell in boxing wouldn't know who would win too close to call.

Much as I like Oscar, I think Floyd M. is way too fast and will only need his jab to do the job. Oscar should stay home and count his money.

De la Hoya would get whooped. Mayweather's just too fast and good. Delahoya doesn't need to prove anything. he's already earned millions of money.

Floyd would win...easily. He is the best boxing out right now, and he is just fighting smart and taking the biggest payday. We all have to get paid somehow, and boxing is his forte. Floyd will beat any welterweight out there...Ricky hatton, watch your ***!
