okay- me and this guy are..."involved". we love each other as best friends, and hes told me he loves me as more than a friend, and so do i. i sent him a recent picture of myself because he went away on vacation, and, not to be conceited (because im really not), but i have to say that i looked really good in the picture. again, i'm NOT conceited. and i didnt overdo the makeup, i didnt overdo what i was wearing. i looked probably the best i've ever looked. but his response to the pic was "nice." and i know guys dont like express their feelings, but they usually describe girls as hot or cute...not really "nice." i know im probably blowing this out of proportion...but can someone (guys preferably, but girls 2 if u really htink u can help) help me clarify if he was understating what he was thinking...or if he really thought i just looked ordinary.
stats- black hair green eyes attractive, fit body no acne nothing weird in my appearance.

if we are friends, I'd say "nice" to your picture too. i mean, as your friend, I'd feel a little bit of awkwardness since I am used to casual things about us but now that we are about to go to a next level of relationship, i probably act the same way he did because we are adjusting on the new situation we have now. That is in the assumption that i am your friend.
probably the two of you are already acting strange towards each other now without even knowing it. things between you are already different now that both of you has a thing for each other.

Sounds to me like you are stressing about one picture and one thing that he said. Guys don't always think about every word that is said, like women do. I mean, we go right from our heart, speak our emotions, all of it! Guys aren't like that and sometimes even get flustered as he may not want to be putting all of the emphasis on a picture either. Maybe he has more to him, some kind of depth, that he is looking and seeing the whole you? You said in the beginning, that he is loving you and you him, and you are best friends,,,,,,,,,,,that says more than one picture does! Have you guys met one another?Or is this something that is so far, over the Internet? I would say if you haven't spent time together, gotten to know each other face to face, I would as soon as possible. I would meet in a public place, go for lunch, and see what kind of chemistry is there when you meet. It makes a big difference or you could just be having a great friendship online. Don't be so hard on yourself and worry about everything this guy says! Good luck! Just pleeeeeeeease be careful if you haven't met yet, do not allow him, no matter what, to your home or know where you live, the first time meeting. I mean,if you have met one another already or live near one another and know each other that well, then how could one vacation make it that different in your looks?Keep smiling, when it's meant to be, it'll be.............live and let live!!!

It's all in the way he said it. He could say nice, or niiiiiice. And some guys think "hot" is not right for saying to anyone not male. Could be "nice" really means "hot damn" to him.

If he's crazy about you it wouldn't matter how you looked or what you had on. you are the most important thing in the picture. He should like you because it's you.

sometimes 'nice' just means 'nice'....it's a general description, means you approve, don't read too much into it one way or the other...does he have a g/f? That you know of?

nice could be his way of showing respect to you and .saying your hot is kind of like making you sound trashy.
