As a Jew-i was given the Jewish scriptures at my BarMItzvah-as i studied it Moses said (Leviticus 17 vs 11) thus saith the Lord, "The life of the flesh is in the blood and ive given it to make atonement for your soul." forgiveness is in the blood sacrifice-Isaiah chapters 52 vs 13-53vs 12-explained it prophetically that one would come to fulfill this approx 700bce "He shall be exaulted but first marred more than any man, and he will be the anointed one (the Messiah), who will lay down his life as an atonement for our sins."
well it was a big step for me to go against what my synagogue said-that Moses was wrong and Isaiah also-that we dont need a blood atonement for sins anymore-and i believed Yeshua (God is salvation-in english Jesus) as he said in Revelation 3 vs 19&20 that he stands at my heart door and knocks to come in, deliver from sin and be my friend." so i prayed and became a Jew with a Jewish Messiah-"Come into my heart, forgive my sins, help me, and be my friend, amen"!

funny a guy wrote in to this sayin its not prophetic-be real -it says the anointed one and that he would sacrifice his life for our sins-why do some people claim to be Jewish and reject Moses and Isaiah-the truth is they are anti the God of Moses and Isaiah therefore not truely Jewish-lets just be honest--since i let the Messiah into my heart-im prouder than ever of being Jewish and i sing his praises from my heart and soul and look forward to heaven instead of Hell.
Hell is told about in Daniel 12 vs 2 about torment forever in abhorance for rejecting the truth-and heaven everlasting for those that believe the word of God.
be a true Jew and believe Moses and Isaiah then u will believe the Messiah too. ty david -even if u dont like the one that came down from heaven to be our Jewish Messiah-cause your antisemetic or whatever-he still loves u heart and soul and already proved it too and will be your best friend if u ask him into your heart too.

You are a christian. Stop this evil and deceptive form of missionizing. It degrades christianity.

Acceptance of the Messiah is the first step to truly knowing and loving God.
The next step is to become part of God's new covenant church, which is the divine replacement for the old law, and the dispenser of all God's grace.
Since Christ's perfect sacrifice, all the old laws and practices have been fulfilled and set aside. They are no longer of any real, practical value.
You need to apply your understanding of the old to learning the new.
This is the same path that was taken by all the early Christians, and it's still the right path today. It doesn't mean you have to give up your Jewish identity, either.
Millions of people have already traveled the path you're presently on. Make sure you keep going until you reach the proper destination.
God has blessed you and wants to bless you even more. I'll be happy to help you with this. Drop me an email with any specific questions you may have.

To go out on a limb and put yourself in such a difficult situation (as to go against you synagogue and your people) shows that you are a person who demands truth. Truth is more important to you than comfort. I believe that that is a real virtue.
That being the case, I must refer you to have a look at http://www.outreachjudaism.org/ On this website, you will find reference to a 26 part tape series. The tape series explores every major theological and scriptural jewish/christian issue in great detail. The author is an expert on both Judaism and on Christianity. The tapes are very enjoyable listening and I am sure that you will learn a ton by listening to the tapes.
In order to make such a major decision for your life, your descendants lives, and for your soul, I am sure that you want to make as honest and informed a decision as possible, based on as much knowledge as possible.
I highly urge you to purchase this tape series and listen to the tapes (tell me if money is an issue). Feel free to correspond with me at supcch063@yahoo.com as well.

It is question of belief, not of right and wrong.
Simply put: Christian believe Jesus was the promised Jewish messiah. If you examine the Gospels carefully, you seen Joshua ben Joseph (Greek/Latin Jesus which means God helps/saves/delivers) is a rabbi teaching Jews; Jesus ministry was to the Jews.
Jewish tradition clearly states that Rabbi Joshua (you can find him in the Talmud) is not the messiah for a number of reasons. The Jewish viewpoint of Messiah ("anointed one") is follows.
Ancient priests and kings (and sometimes prophets) of Israel were anointed with oil. In early Judaism, the term came to mean a royal descendant of the dynasty of David who would restore the united kingdom of Israel and Judah and usher in an age of peace, justice and plenty; the redeemer figure. The concept developed in many directions over the centuries. The messianic age was believed by some Jews to be a time of perfection of human institutions; others believed it to be a time of radical new beginnings, a new heaven and earth, after divine judgment and destruction. The title came to be applied to Jesus/Joshua of Nazareth by his followers, who were soon called "Christians" in Greek and Latin usage. Jesus is also “Messiah” in Islam (e.g., Quran 3.45).
Now to answer your question: Yes the Christian bible uses the Holy Scriptures, uses the same words, but differs on its meanings. You can quote all you want, but the verses you quote are explained/interpreted not by the Rabbis but by Paul, specifically in his letter to the Hebrews (Jews). So quit wasting you time explaining Rabbinic teaching to Christians. The Torah does not bind Christians; it binds Jews.
One last point, you have many mistakes in you explanations, for example, "we don't need a blood atonement for sins anyone" is because you no longer have a temple. Also, you use the concept of sin (man attempt to be divine) in a Christian view not Jewish. May I suggest you follow Hillel's advice and spend some time tuning/refining your beliefs? (You sound reform not orthodox in your writing).
Remember Christians are not required to have you believe, they are required to have you informed. Maybe then you will be ready to listen (not debate) the Christian message. In a nutshell, God kept his promise in Jesus; Jesus was executed and God raised him from the dead (Christian hope for eternal life); and Jesus will come again. Today you meet Christians, one day you will meet Jesus.

Crap Answer: Being a Messianic Jew pisses off both Jews & Christians because you are picking & choosing what parts of each faith to believe in.
Real Answer: I thought the Jewish faith is still waiting for the coming of the Messiah and Jesus is just a prophet. People disagree with you since you are believing what they have been otherwise been taught. That's life; people do not like change and our inherant sinful nature makes us more prone to hate/dislike those not like ourselves..

So it sounds as though you are a young Jewish man who has decided to believe in Jesus Christ as Messiah and Savior, Amen for that! You are know as a Messianic Jew. You are one of few, but hold tight and you will be rewarded by God. Don't let anyone pull you down. God Bless you and welcome to Gods family!
By the way, don't believe the comment above that you piss off Christians, I am a Christian and want to embrace the Jewish. You are God's chosen people and those (Jewish) that believe Gods word and receive Jesus as Messiah will be significant in end times scenario (I believe, you will help to lead your other Jewish brothers and sisters to Christ as well as Gentile (all other believers on Christ) to Jesus Christ. Stay strong and pray for guidance, ask t he Lord to lead you and see what he will have you do! God Bless you and God Bless Israel!!

Jesus was a Jew and He died for our sins. He wasn't even accepted by His own people. Jesus is the messiah. You can still accept Him as your savior today.
John 3:3 Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
John 3:16-18
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
only Gen 22:2
17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

REMEMBER! True Christians are a SECT of Judaism!=GRAFTED IN! (please forgive my cut-n-paste)
The Seal Of The Messianic Church EVIDENCE THAT THE EARLIEST CHURCH IN EXISTANCE WAS JEWISH One of the strongest evidences for this is the presence of many artifacts, clay pots, and lamps, which are engraved with what has come to be called the SEAL OF THE MESSIANIC CHURCH. The seal has been copyrighted as " Seven Branched Candelabra/Star of David/Fish" A book entitled "The Messianic Seal of the Jerusalem Church" by Reuven Efraim Schmalz and Raymond Robert Fischer has been published (Olim Publications, P.O. Box 2111,Tiberias, Israel. Top of Seal see the Seven Branch Candelabra that stood before God in the Temple. Below that, see the Star of David, which is from the 7th century BC. It is composed of two interlaced, equilateral triangles or DALTHA (D for David). "A star shall come forth from Jacob, and a scepter shall rise from Israel" Numbers 24:17. Below the star is a fish which is an early Christian symbol in Israel. It was transported to Rome, and by 150 AD. Clement of Alexandria suggested to all his readers that they include the sign of a fish in their personal seals to identify them as Christians. Later the Greek spelling for the word fish ICHTHUS was incorporated. The first five letters of the words that spell "Jesus, Christ, God, Son, and Saviour." In the Messianic Seal, the cross appears as the Hebrew letter TAW. The artifacts were discovered in 1990 by Tech Oteeoos, a 90 year old Greek Orthodox monk, in the vicinity of the, what is believed to be, the original Church founded and pastored by James the Just, the half-brother of Jesus. When the actual grotto was excavated by Oteeoos, numerous inscriptions were found on the walls. The period of its use on Mount Zion could only have been from the crucifixion in 30 AD to 135AD. You are not wrong. If you further study the scriptures the Lord said I will always have my remnant that will believe. You just happen to be one of the remnant. If you are getting a lot of flack thank the Lord for Christians of no matter what faith will be given problems. They are hated by mankind and they don't even know why they hate Christians.

If you are actually Jewish, then you should know that Isaiah 49 through 53 is not messianic prophecy, but is a poetic lamentation about the nation of Israel itself.
