She's coming from Boston ,and it's just like a family party. Any details on decorations, banners, etc.?

Well where is she coming home from? Maybe decorate with something that relates to that place with a touch of homely feel. This can be banners, food, drinks, costumes.

Decorate with a big banner and lots of yellow ribbons. Serve her favorite food and play her favorite games. Play her favorite music, too, interspersed with "Tie a Yellow Ribbon 'Round The Old Oak Tree," just so everyone gets the point about the ribbons.

pick a time and place, invite some people, she'll probably want to talk all about her trip, so have some snacks and things like that while everyone is engaged in her...best if its a surprise party!
