He would of won as the current riders are crap in comparison.

No, you should quit while you're ahead...It was time to step down. He's already done what no-one in history has done before.This record won't be matched for a long time...

Armstrong couldn't have known that the top riders would not be able to ride this Tour (Basso, Ulrich, Vinokourov). But if he HAD (which would have been impossible) know that then he should have stayed because he would have won this year's tour as well. I thought it was fun seeing another American with another compelling story win.

I agree he would of won but I think retiring was the way to go. I was also good for the tour. It was more interesting this year with so many guys having a shot a winning it.

i think he was tired of the grind and wanted a rest he might race next year if discovery was willing to pay him a lot of money
