Can you say "totalitarianism"?
Bush has already brought us Constitutionally to the edge of a PLOICE STATE with the passing of the U.S. Patriot Act. We are spyed on, tracked, watched... reported. The media is indirectly controlled via FEAR. Our finances and credit are controlled by the PRIVATELY OWNED Federal Reserve Bank. New post 9-11 laws require that we have RFID-tagged driver's licenses by 2008. All new cell phones (therefore you) can be tracked via GPS. Via the Patriot Act, for merely speaking out against government, you can be labeled a security threat, held in jail INDEFINITELY, with no access to a lawyer, and if tried, then by a MILITARY court needing only a 2/3rds vote.
Government-owned airlines? WE will be CORNERED. The so-called "War on Terror" is aimed at ALL OF US.

Under any circumstances, it must be government to control the air traffic. Even though there are many complaints about the service personnel especially in our Air India, but still I wish to put my vote in its favour because inspite of lucrative officers by private airliners, ultimately they are in air to make more green dollars whereas government is bound to go for the welfare of the public.

Not really. You could model it after Russia, they only have a few passenger jets crash per year.
