Dear Desired,
Isn't that the funniest thing about people. We all want what we can't have in some way. When we have something it doesn't quite see as good as what someone else has. It's human nature. Good for you that you are no longer into him. You deserve someone who can appreciate what they have when they have it!

I could just say the old "We want what we can't have" line and be done with it. But I'm sure you've already heard of that. So I'll elaborate.
Unless you are in the frame of mind to settle down, you aren't playing the field in search of a person, you're more or less searching for a concept. The thought of a person. But not just any person, it's got to be that perfect person. And occasionally you might EXACTLY what you are looking for. But even then, you'll find flaws or you'll see them in some light that will shatter your image of them as your perfect person. And since they're only a concept, it's never THAT hard (in the grand scheme of things) to toss them aside.
But closer to your situation, it might just be a shot to his ego. Here he is going on thinking he's hot stuff, then all of a sudden "Wait, she doesn't like me...?!" He throws himself into a panic and rushes back to impress you with.. well... himself.
I may be way off on all of this. I should really read a book on it.

Isn't that sooo true!!!! And guys don't want "head games". yeah right. They are the inventors of the head game. Now that he may view you as a challenge and if you are still interested, make him work for it. Beware, men like dogs will take the path of least Resistance. Good luck with your choices.

I think that your getting a false idea. He left you because he didn't desire you and just by looking your way or asking about you dosen't mean he is desiring you. Alot of people get that idea because they want him or her to desire them once they don't have them. It is called wanted vengence :)

because guys need boundaries... they want what they want; when they get it, they're bored! when a woman gives what the guy wants, there's no more purpose. he gets bored, or tired, or interested in something/someone else. but if he has to keep working to maintain You're interest, or keep working to keep the relationship working Other than through physical way, then its easier for them to learn and grow w/ each other. here's how i think of it: a guy uses love to get sex. a girl uses sex to get love. if you want a find a guy that will stick around for reasons OTHER than sex, you have to learn to set boundaries for yourself. what kind of guy are u looking for? how far are you going to let him go? what kind of a girlfriend do you want to be? stick to those boundaries, and u will find a guy that is willing to stay w/ you and make you happy even though he's not getting what he wanted, which was ultimately, sex. eventually if u can build a relationship that is strong and based more on emotions, love, and affection, i think u will learn that he will want you on more basis than just physical pleasure. (remember, they will say anything in order to get sex.. =T it's just in their nature, i've been told this by guys themselves.). not that they're BAD btw..they just think they feel this way but once they get what they wanted, their feelings can change. that's why u want someone who's willing to be w/ u no matter what, and can learn what and how to treat you. if someone treats u bad and wants u back later, they are just stupid. they didnt' want to learn before, and now they're coming back. and girls are so much more emotional and are more willing to take someone back, no matter how horrible he treated them. so moral of the story is.... be careful w/ who u date and LOOK FOR certain things u want in a relationship: if he's not giving it to you...NEXT.

Mainly cause he probably is still too ignorant to realize you are not into him . Another reason may be guys always want what they can't get !!! Wonder when they will ever get a clue !!!!!
