They expect to see animals magically transform into new ones before their very eyes, or see apes become humans just like that.
Then they think the bible makes more sense then their skeewed veiw of evolution, which it still doesn't.

*EDITED*

Right..... so one day this group of apes gets together and decides that it would be so much more beneficial to them, survival of hte fittest and all, if they had more developed brains and if their bodies were virtually hairless, so they concentrate really really hard as do their children and their childrens children and so forth. One day this part ape part human gives birth to a perfectly hairless pink little human baby- imagine the rejoicing that happened that day! Anyway, meanwhile, there is a sect of apes - descendents of some from that original group, who just somehow knew that nothing good would come of that evolutionary step, and how right they were, I mean look at all these weak minded, uneducated Christians, war over money and religion, destruction of the planet, boy were they right- so they just left well enough alone and continued on their happy lives, except a few of them thought life would be a LOT more fun if they had purple butts so those guys evolved into baboons!!
(This took place over several million years- all the while thousand and thousands of poor little lungfish are losing their lives left and right in an effort to evolve the lungs they somehow knew they would need!

I do have a question or two however, if this process of evolution took place over millions of years in small increments, then we are not looking for one missing link but millions of missing links - there is not one hole in the fossil record but millions of holes- where is the fossil record of plant evolution ??
And why, why why would a single celled organism that could split in two on its own and each live independently of each other, evolve into an organism that takes two coming together to create one new life that cannot live on its own??

You can continue saying that we are uneducated and simple minded but the fact is I have looked at the facts, with an open mind, even before I became a Christian. It takes a lot of faith to believe in evolution where the facts are just not scientific and they don't hold water. Most athiests and evolutionists I know of say they have read the Bible, what I want to know is have you read it starting out trying to disprove it or did you read it with an open mind, trying to understand and study from the point of view that it was written in instead of a modern understanding??

Hey here is a really fun article you can ponder :

Thank you for your question.
It must be kept in mind that the theory of evolution is just a theory.
We don't have all of the answers we are lookiing for to make it law(We call gravity law but it is still a theory because we still don't understand the force or make up of gravity that causes it to happen). We have a lot of evidence pointing in the direction of evolution but thus far we just don't have a complete picture.
We don't know how God created/ organized the Earth and every living thing on it.
Perhaps He did use evolution to organize every living thing. We don't know. I do know that a lot of research into evolution has yielded many great and useful discoveries. I believe that God is the giver of all knowledge and that the scientific method follows Gods natural law of finding the truth which is to be given to all who diligently seek it out.
Always remember no one really discovers something from nothing and only of himself he merely discovers that which God has kept hidden and decided we were ready to receive and only after that researcher/ scientist/ explorer does the work does he receive the knowledge he has sought after.
What really matters is the eternal perspective of our lives. We do not cease to exist at death nor did we come from nothing at birth. Eventually we will be able to know how all things came to be but it is our choice to put off the infinite wisdom and intelligence of God and remain in the dark or to accept the will of God, keep his commandments and ordinances and receive of His light and intelligence.
Science and religion can and do mix if the religion believes in and receives continued revelation from God.
Science alone cannot answer every question. God can if we seek him out with a sincere heart and mind.
" But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
(New Testament | Matthew 6:33)
Our priorities should lie with the salvation of Gods children and not with petty arguments of whether the Bible or Darwin were right on the creation of life.
Please write to me if you have any other questions about this.

Evolution has holes just as religion. Genetic manipulation has a part in the development of mankind. The problem is that most are not willing to look at the possiblity that humans are not on top of the food chain and where engineered to slave and serve as food for more technologically advanced beings, now evolution may have had it's part in history but it didn't have it's part in the current model of human today. Humans genetically alter lower forms of animals for their own purposes and humans are just mimicing their creaters much the same way. Regardless of evolution or religion we are energy beings using these bodies for the experience and nothing more. So who cares about evolution the question is are you your body or are you more?

A lot of (not all) people see anything that doesn't fit neatly in their core beliefs as false, no matter what the evidence or proof.

More and more people are believing in evolution and the science behind it. Including quite a few Christians and folks of other religions. Just the ones that don't tend to yell the loudest.

Then they find some pseudoscience to try and disprove the mountains of evidence that have been compiled. Kind of like the scientists the tobacco companies used to hire to show cigarettes were OK for you.

We must place the blame on the shoulders of parents who do little to encourage "deductive reasoning" in their children, and schools who are too scared or cow-towed by school boards to teach simple logic. Science is science. If a viable, realistic, provable alternative to evolutionary theory is presented, most scientists will accept it.

Teaching our children that we all were created by the "Great Pumpkin" is, in effect, preventing scientific advancement for a whole generation.

Ironically (as with the stifling of stem-cell research), the perpetrators of this travesty will be the ones who ultimately suffer because their children are too stupid to see the truth.

Do you want your heart-bypass done by surgeon who, as a child, who grew up believing you can build a universe in a week, or that the human body was designed by an entity so inattentive it gave male mammals nipples?

No one understand evolution because it is much like the Bible. It's open to a lot of interpretation. Also, evolution is still just a theory so people can debate it all they want.

People don't want to understand evolution because they seek safety.

In religion, morality will assure you your safety and pleasure. In evolution, morals don't mean squat, even the most faithful is susceptible to being eaten by a bear, and it's nobodies "fault".

I think most of us grow up with the moral (religious) philosophy... ( If your a good boy, you get a lollipop). However, as we leave our parents nest we find that nobody loves us and treats us like our mommies.

I'm not sure if I answered your question, but this is my thought about your question.

First of all, you're talking to people in a section on religion. Religion has stuff relating to creationism. Also, people won't accept evolution until it's a law, not a theory. However, this won't happen, because very few things become laws. (ex.: atomic theory is just a theory)

Creation through Evolution is the right concept. You can't deny that God designed humans which grows through evlolution process.

Most people DO consider evolution a fact; so much so, I think, that most of us can't be bothered to get into a debate about it. It would be like debating whether water is wet: no point.
