Does anyone else have this problem?

Your jaw bone is just below the ear canal and sometimes the joint grinds a little. I think it's normal.

The chewing is equalizing the pressure in your ear. This is common when riding a high elevator or flying. Chewing and yawning both do the job. Generally this just means that the body is working as it is supposed to.

it's called TMJ- pitt bulls have it. and it's actually your jaw not your ears most dentists can fix it and so can a chiropractor. Left untreated it wears the bones on your jaw down so they hurt constantly and you may need pins there.

Have you had a runny or stuffed up nose? You may have fluid in your ears. Take an anti-histimine and it will help dry it up. If it doesn't get better in 3 days call your doctor.

Perhaps you have water in your ears. Try this and see if it helps.
Lean your head over to one shoulder, hold your head in that direction and hop that direction. Then reverse and do the other side. If you have water in your ears, that should help it drain.

Seems that you've put your pop-up blocker on, you'll have to release it.
