Deception Schemes as pertaining to military campaigns, game strategy and criminal enterprises. I would appreciate a description, definition, and\or a possible example.

During the prelude to D-day Patton commanded an army that did not exist. The Germans saw fake tanks, tents, etc. from the air. Plausible radio traffic was generated, and jeeps and trucks buzzed around the area. Newspapers carried scores from baseball games between units that did not exist! Patton was seen in London restaurants dining with his "staff". The Germans bought it hook, line and sinker and figured Normandy as the diveresion with Calais the real target, and thus the success of D-day was ensured.

Making the enemy think your going to doing something else. We used this tactic on the Normandy invasion, and in Operation: Desert Storm. It is not lies, yet broadcasting things over enemy airwaves to confuse them. Why does everyone think we are at war for oil? That's the oil companies problems, and we already are getting oil from Saudi Arabia. The Government has absolutely zero to do with oil.

Someone doesn't want someone else to know the truth so they cover it up with lies....
i.e. : Bush said we were going to war with Bin Laden because of the attack on the Twin Towers and because Terrorism must stop but, shortly after getting to the mid East (and soldeirs were there way before war was announced) he said we were then going after Saddam---- they have Saddam, no Bin Laden. We really went to war for the oil. Has the admisitration tried mentioning oil on their own even unless someone asks them about it? Did you know he and his family and many of theirs friends are oil people?
Plans to/for lie/s so know one will learn the truth... But the Truth eventually does come to light...

It's propaganda and psychological warfare all mixed up so well that we don't really see it. It's careful placement of words and labels given to an opposition. It's news media that is controlled....
