Sounds like you are a teenage. Every child feels that way. It will get better. But I do have to tell you, at 38, married and have kids of my own I still feel that way sometimes. Just remember they do care about you or they wouldn't be "picking on you". Just remember to keep the communication line open. Good luck and hang in there.

My sister went through this. I feel sorry for you. our parents use it pick at her all the time. It was always the small things. They would criticize her about nearly every little thing. She used to get upset I used to tell her that it doesn't matter, they don't really mean it, and so on. The only solution seemed that she had to move out.
My advice is maybe they have their own problem but they are taking it out on you. This isn't fair I know but Iv'e seen it happen. Maybe you should try and talk to find out whats bothering. Try to them, sympathise. When they have told you, see if you can get them to listen to you, and tell them about how they treat you.
I hope you can work this out...

How are they picking at you? I live in the same house as my parents and 3 other siblings, but I don't talk to them at all. Not a single word. My mum hates me and says and does things that hurt me. Such as telling me daily that I should move out but talking to my sibling, not telling me directly. My sibling bullies me seeing that I'm not wanted, but they act a pretty show to my dad who thinks I'm the bully. When your parents pick on you... it might be a sign of concern in a way you didn't like it. Better than hatred.

You better get used to it, because that's what they're going to do for the rest of your life whether it's about going to college, choosing the right guy, or how to raise your children. It's their way of helping and you should appreciate them for doing that. Your family loves you! Good luck!

It is normal to wish you had a different family. It's just a phase and it will pass.

stand up for yourself and stand your ground. maybe eventually they'll back off a little... or at least on certain topics! if you let them pick all they want now, it will set a pattern and it will always be this way... start nipping it in the bud now!

What are they picking at you about? Sometimes they have a god reason. It's hard to say when there are no specifics.
