Without heel lifts/platform shoes, you can probably forget it. Don't sweat your height, though - you're not alone where you are, OK?

Genes and childhood exercise determine height. The only options you have at twenty are surgery, or learning that height plays no part in your happiness or success other than the part you choose to allow it to have.

True, you are unlikely to get a job as a model if you are 5'2" tall, but if you are 4'4" and very fit, you can become a wealthy & successful jockey.

Life is about learning to work with what you have. Focus on your strengths, not your "defecits". Do you think Stephen Hawking focuses on the fact he's stuck in a wheelchair all that much?

As a final piece of good news about being "short", if two people have the same general level of health, the taller one almost always dies younger, because their heart is working harder! (It's true, look it up!)

You want to be tall, or happy?

About the only thing you can do to be taller now is to wear heels. Sorry, but once your bones have ossified, that's pretty much it, and at 20, you are past the point of growth treatments. The only treatment now would be one that involves breaking your legs, inserting metal screws, and gradually turning the screws to force the bone to heal longer than when it was broken. Painful, very painful, and drastic... not to mention expensive, and more than likely not covered by insurance.

Better to just try to like yourself the way you are. Nothing wrong with being short - I'm onIy 5'0" tall, and I love it, personally.

bit late now. If you are really too small, you should have seen a doctor by the age of 12-14.
There are various ways to treat small size nowadays. Often it is a lack of certain growth hormones or problems with the thyroid gland.
But: as I said: 20 is too old now. If you are a girl, wear high heels, if you are a guy, wear Western boots :-)
