A lot of parrots hold their poop because they don't want to soil their cage. When your bird gets out of her cage, she considers it the perfect opportunity to relieve herself, even if she is on your shoulder or the couch.
You can try giving her the step up command and then hold her a couple of minutes on your finger while she is still in the cage, then give her the "poop" command.
The first morning poops are also huge because parrots hold their poops all night long.

Your cockatiel is being considerate - she or he is saving it all up for when she is out of the cage so you don't have to clean a huge mess in the cage. I agree.... call the vet if the droppings get bigger than dog poo! LOL Now, seriously - birds do that.... my larger birds save up all night and that's the first thing they do in the morning - they would rather not go where they live type of thing - I breed tiels - it is completely normal.

There could be many reasons. First is that it does not want to mess up its "home" but second, I learned through experience. I have an Amazon parrot who is unable to fly. It has a nighttime stand for bedtime and a daytime stand in a different room. Upon waking I took the parrot from the nighttime stand to the daytime stand where it quickly went potty. I praised the parrot for waiting and not going on the floor during transporting. Now it waits purposely to go potty because it knows it will be praised for it. Even if a mistake is made I will still praise it a little knowing it tried to wait but could not. Mistakes do happen. Your bird may have received a slight communication problem with you.

No canine could spend each and every of the time in a crate. that must be contributing to her toileting interior the living house. At 2 years previous she could be completely living house knowledgeable. Are you jogging her two times an afternoon for a great length of time? If no longer you're able to desire to. Do you clean grimy factors with organic and organic washing powder to deter her from returning to a similar places to poo/pee? If no longer you're able to desire to purchase some and in basic terms use that. Bleach and different cleansing products in basic terms advance the scent of ammonia nd motivate them lower back to a similar places interior the living house. Do you're taking her into the backyard each and every 2 hours and after ingesting, snoozing and enjoying? If no longer you're able to. Do you punish her for going interior the incorrect place? if so this could additionally reason her to clutter interior the living house if she is petrified of you. i could evaluate re-homing this canine to somebody who has the understanding of living house education a canine so as that it would not could desire to stay a life in a cage. that's style of a life in detention center. the final way i be conscious of to living house practice a canine is to have them linked to you whenever you're interior the living house jointly. Have her interior the crate while you're out. on a similar time as at living house only shop on with what you're doing yet have a lead linked to you and the canine. this form she can't sneak off and champagne/pee interior the incorrect place and you will shop popping her outdoors each and every 2 hours to get her right into a clean habitual. This takes away any opportuntiy for her to clutter interior the living house. in case you paintings finished time you're able to desire to rehome her as you are able to no longer ultimate a canine for going interior the living house while you're no longer there.
