I know someone just like this. They also are never wrong or in the wrong, things are always somebody elses fault and he "knew this was going to happen"!

To be honest, the person I know like this has mellowed slightly with age but he is still prick and I know that he will never change. All I have done is learned to ignore him which isn't that difficult when you have no respect for a person and know that they are weak minded.

Mean people are everywhere. Unfortunately, some of them get to be bosses. Is there another peerson in charge you can talk to about this? Are there other employees willing to step forward? If not, you may have to wait it out (often mean bosses do themselves in), or find another position.

He may be setting unrealistic work goals. What you/he needs to do is look at comparative situtations and adjust the goal to a reasonable one otherwise the inefficiency of trying to accomplish unrealistic goals will set all of you back even further. Either that, or your boss is just a jerk!
