They were very lucky, there were no fatailities and as far as I have heard, the injuries were not serious.

Here is a few articles that you may want to read

The ship is actually sailing again, so that is a really good sign for them. Prior to the investigation, I had heard a lot of different causes for the ship listing, everything from a huge wave (these boats are actually made to withstand waves of 80 or 90 feet), to the rutter falling off, to the auto-pilot experiencing some sort of problem.

I was reading an article yesterday, unfortunately I cannot find it today (if I do I will put it on here) But what I heard is that the investigation was completed. They found that the cause of the accident was a mistake by the Jr. Captain. After leaving Port Canaveral, the Captain put the ship on auto-pilot to navigate back to New York. He then left to go eat. The Jr. Captain was left in charge and was checking his readings and such. When he looked down, he thought that the autopilot was making an incorrect move and was worried that it could cause a problem. When he did this, he over corrected the ship, causing it to list. Apparently, the boat was on target for the navigation.

Again, if I find that other link, I will post it for you.

I hope this helps!

It was the Crown Princess (Princess Cruise Line). This was a new ship, on its fourth sailing. The ship tilted suddenly to one side and everything went flying. Two people were critically injured, a few had broken bones and there were a lot of minor injuries.

I think I will stick to the ships that have been around a while.

They just did an update on the news. The ship listed to the left 16 degrees. The Jr. Captain was piloting and thought something was wrong with the auto-pilot. He over corrected the ship. The crew has been fired.

Yup! Seems like everyone was okay, just shaken up a bit. Guess they need better technology on the ships to give them some sort of warning that a wave like that is coming.

The ship was on auto pilot and had a steering malfunction, that made the ship turn sharply & rapidly, no one was killed but there were a few injuries.

yeah, it was the crown princess, and it tilted to like a 30 something degree angle.. it shocked many people and possibly scared most enough to not go on a cruise anymore. the good thing is that nobody was killed, and that everybody is now safe
