Pagan religions today mainly base their worship on the divinity of Nature and living things, but there are many forms of this. I agree that you'll have to ask him exactly what his religion is all about.

I take it you mean a pagan handfasting? There are lots of variations, but basically its a non-legally binding but full moral commitment typically made eiether for a year and a day, or for 'life'. Often the couple will have their hands tied as they speak their vows, then will jump a broomstick together to symbolise their passage into a new life of domestic and emotional sharing.
Usually they are beautiful ceremonies just like 'mainstream' weddings, but its also possible to handfast privately between two people as a personal commitment. I suspect that is what your son has done, you might think of it as an engagement ceremony if that helps get your head round it. If so, its likely to be a 'year and a day' one and they may want to formalise teh relationship later with a public ceremony.
Many congratulations to you all!

There are actually several pagan religions.
Your son may be referring to Wicca, which a neopagan religion, rather than pagan. There's a slight difference (see sources).
Wicca is a recognized religious movement in most states, so his marriage if nothing else is recognized both by the appropriate religious and legal authorities.
Ask him what sort of marriage he had. Do some research. You might be surprised at some of what you find.

A pagan religeon could be anything except christians. during the medieval, the church separated the christians from the rest of the world. The followers of the church were called christians and the non-followers were called pagans. this means that your son married a non-christian girl.

There are many different ceremonies. Try this website, and then just type Pagan Marriage into your search engine. Maybe they will answer some of your questions..

Pagan by definition is anything other than Christian.
So you'd have to ask him for specifics.
