I used to belong to a church that thought when you farted you were getting rid of a demon.
I am not joking. I swear. They really did. It was too funny. I no longer belong to that church... It was a church in Peculiar, MO, called the First Southern Baptist Church of Christ. I don't even know if they are even still there. It was 17 years ago.
You were also expelling a demon with every sneeze, burp, cough, and yawn.

Farting is a normal function of the digestive system

If you do not fart the excess gas in your stomach, you will definitely have serious problems.

So farting is normal. Just some have a bigger problem then others.

The one religion that I know which does not allow it is Islam.

If you fart and go to prayers, you have to wash your face and hands and feet

If you fart in the mosque, your prayers are not accepted and you have to turn around and sit in the opposite direction'

Funny but true. You are not allowed to fart in islam or you will be made to wash yourself. And god does not answer your prayers if you fart during your prayers.

Strange but true.

Yes, we do fart- part of the fun of having a digestive system!

No, I don't think it's a sin- embarassing, rude, gross, but not a sin- God hasn't ever said anything about passing gas... yet... as far as I know...

Farting is not in fact against God's law and hence (1 John 3:4) is not a sin.

I was a Christian, until I reached the age of reason. I did fart, but always felt guilty about it afterwards.

I'm not sure why you think it might be considered a sin but I'm sure your witty self has attempted to think of something mildly amusing to say. What's that, your question was the only mildly amusing thing you had to say about the whole matter? Wow, that was amazing.
