I would say go as you would usually dress...your friend would smile if she was still here and say 'go girl'!

Is the dress revealing? If so, then no, it's absolutely NOT okay to wear it, even to a friend's funeral. I know the biggest thing is thinking how your friend would feel, but the next thing to keep in mind is this is her last big occassion. This is the LAST time she has to have the spotlight. She may not be alive anymore, but really, how fair is it to draw attention away from the funeral to how provocatively you are dressed. If it's small, but still modest, then there shouldn't be much problem. I'm sure she wants you to be yourself, but you can be yourself and be modest about it. This is HER day, not yours. Save something sexy for going out to celebrate her life afterwards.

Well, if your friend knows that's the way you dress, and you won't be offending her, then I don't particularly see a problem with it.
But, you might want to think about the other people who'll be at the funeral. You don't want them to get the wrong impression of you, and you really don't want to offend anyone else.
Just think about those two things, and do what is best for you. If you could care less about what others think, then wear your mini dress and heels, but if you don't want to draw any unnecessary attention to yourself, wear a dress that is knee length or longer.
Good luck!

as I 've recently attended a funeral, I saw 2 ladies wearing black mini dress and and 1 is in pink shirt and short pants..as it is summer and they feel comfortable about it.. it might be disrespectful to the family and guests but if you feel like wearing something mini you can choose the mini that is not too short and heels that's not get much attention, the black hose would help a lot too.. .... if you have doubt... take some black dress or shoes to change incase you need to, to avoid too much attention.. but I think it would be fine as long as it is not flashy color..

Come on... have some respect. Your friend might know you dress like but think about everyone else at the funeral.

Personally, I think a miniskirt or minidress is very inappropriate. When my brother-in-law's wife died, one of her neices wore a minidress that made her look like a hooker on a streetcorner. I felt that was very inappropriate and showed little respect for her dead aunt.
That said, if that's what you always wore around your friend, wear it if you want. Just be prepared for people to look at you like you're dressed very inappropriately.
Condolences on the loss of your friend. Remember the good times you've had over the years.

If its her funeral you are going to, I don't think she'll care, but what about the others who will be attending the funeral? her family? Her other friends? You do what you think is best, but remember to be respectful of the living.

You are showing respect. How do you do that? It is a personal choice not the opinions of others that count in how we dress. If you are questioning, then it is time to re-evaluate.

Normally I would say no but as it's your friend etc I would say wear it and give your friend a smile. Just before my brother passed away we discussed this sort of thing and he asked me to wear my bike leathers. Alot of people were upset but I know it made my brother happy and that's what counts.
