my cats kittens eyes are open and they can walk and run and today the moter cat chased them across the room and she chased me is this normal?

she sounds like she is just nervous because her kittens are getting ready to go out on their own. she is trying to control them, but once kittens are old enough to run around, they dont see any authority in their mothers. I would say just watch yourself around the mother cat..or get a spray bottle of water and mist her when she starts chasing you. Cats hate that but it doesnt hurt them.

Also, it could be something else. If this continues after the kittens are gone/grown a little more, I would ask a veterinarian.

She is just being protective yes it is normal. Don't try to handle them to much or she will hide them my cat had kittens and we were constantly having to find them!

sure sounds like she doesn't wnat you to bother them. Wait till they are a little older . some mother cats do not want people to touch their kittens she is protective

Yes, she is teaching them to be cats and hates your interferring with the project.
