Depends on the girl and the relationship she has with the person who slapped her in the butt. Playful girls like it. But if you slap a quiet/shy girl in the butt, she propably won't like it too much. Do it only to girls that you have close relationships with - even if you're just friends. I let my friends do it because we're just goofballs, but if some stranger did it to me it changes the meaning.... the meaning being that he's looking to get a red handprint on his face. Do it playfully, not painfully. No grabbing, just slap and retract. If you're the girl's boyfriend, then you kind of have rights, but only if she does like it; if you are her boyfriend then it's not weird to ask how she feels about it.
