MAKE sure you check my sources....they are great.
*NOTE: I am assuming the general christian definition of the word 'God'. Omnipotent,Omnipresent and All knowing.(which still makes it awkward to answer this question)
WOW.....that is an EXCELLENT question!!!. You clearly are in touch with your own 'self' more than most of the God believers.
I am an atheist. I think that is a great question to ponder.
Unfortunately.......I have no answer for you except this....... I don't Know.
And I think it is right to say, that this is the only reasonable answer anyone on earth can give you. Think about it. If a person knew the answer they would have to KNOW if God has emotions, whether God was ever alone, How god felt about being alone would require knowledge of 'gods' true and deep emotions((If any)), they would have to know if 'God' can 'feel' and so much more....they would be required to KNOW God in ways that would require experience of eternal properties that would require themselves to be equipped with eternal properties. They would have to experienced all of this 'God' in order to know that answer.
some would claim that God told them. They would have to experience all things to even KNOW that small voice inside their own head was from God, and not just a random thought which is much more likely.
So.the only reasonable answer to that question is.....No One Knows. But its a great question.
Merry christmass

Absolutely, God is no more than a fictitious child. Let's look at the facts as outlined in the bible. He created the universe in a matter of days. Then he creates Adam and Eve. They have a fight and Adam and Eve go on their own. They create a world full of people. God doesn't like this so he kills them all with a flood. After the flood, humans again start to cover the planet. A group in Egypt deny God, so he kills their first born babies.
Doesn't this sound like the work of a child? So if you believe in the bible, then you have to realize that God doesn't make mature decisions! For a being that can create the universe in a matter of days, then resorts to floods as his weapon of choice? No Way!!!

well.. not really. I do know that he plays squash sometimes with Allah, because the two of them makes a mean team. He also kept in touch with sakyamuni or the hindu three on the internet via Teleconference
On busy days, he'll be up to his neck dealing with the hundreds of saints, bickering and politicking, each of them completely convinced their cause is earth... i mean heaven shattering *sigh, humans*
When it's slow, he'll make pantheonic visits to all over the world, to greet thousands of lesser gods there and maybe convert some of their followers, until his visitor visa expired and he has to be chased off by angry local gods
His son has already grown up and is currently ( and probably always ) on his world tour, his wife maria busy with managing her own ordo and convents scattered throughout the world
all in all, he's as lonely as any government figure

God cant feel lonely!!!
At the root of everything it is all pure energy - man calls this god! All that we are, all that we see, hear, think, and do, is all part of the great creator who is God, so how can all that is, feel a human emotion like loneliness - although we do reinform god, in our actions and thoughts, our emotions and behaviours, so god does have an understanding of this.
Check out the bible.... in the beginning it was God and it was good

you want to pass to the basis of the issue which feels like the lie. Come sparkling about what ever that is not any remember how hard that is. you'd be plenty a lot less less than pressure out and if it ruins a courting with someone then they ought to not be on your existence anyhow in the experience that they could't see how hard it replaced into that you could take responsibility. I realy replaced into hoping this helped a minimum of somewhat and do exactly not forget that even tho i have under no circumstances met you I care and also you're loved.

Ethan,
I don't think God feels the same thing that we know as loneliness. However, He loves the company of His family. He created us, and gave us free will, so that we could learn about Him, get to know Him, and choose to make Him our Father. We don't have to, but I can tell you, it is the best and wisest thing I have ever done. If you approach Him as a humble child, and invite Him into your heart, He will send His Spirit into you, and bond with you. You become a new creature, part mortal, part Immortal. The old values of materialism and fear fall away. Love and Wisdom become the foundation of all your choices. You have embarked on the Path of Eternity, and you will never be the same again. Oh, one more thing. You will never be alone again, because He will dwell in your heart.

It's a very interesting question. For Christians who believe that God took human form in jesus christ, I guess the answer would be that since he was fully human, that he was lonely at some time or other.

I'm not sure what is the intention of this question. Here people are having trouble even defining the God, understanding the fundamental nature of sprituality and here you are, asking as if God is someone whom we get a chance to commune regularly and can know if he/she is lonely or not. Surely appreciate your quest but ask yourself honestly " can I get a real answer here?".

Hi Ethan!
Yes,
I believe God has felt lonely.
This is why God decided to create!
This is why God is quoted as saying: "It is not good for the man to be alone!"
God knows what lonely is all about.
God is One with us, remember, so God knows our loneliness too!
Love,
Lily

There's a great poem from James Weldon Johnson's "God's Trombones" in which God says, "I'm lonely. I'll make a man!"
